Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 July 2026
These are the terms for using Oremi. We've kept them short and readable, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Oremi, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. You must be 16 or older — or older still, if that’s the minimum age where you live.
What Oremi is — and isn’t
Oremi is a journaling companion. It’s designed to help you reflect, notice patterns, and build a gentle habit.
Oremi is not therapy, counselling, or medical care, and it is not a substitute for professional help. It cannot diagnose or treat anything, and its AI is not a clinician.
If you are in crisis or may be in danger, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline right away. Oremi is not monitored, and nobody is watching your entries for signs of distress — please don’t rely on it to get you help.
Your account
- Keep your password and device passcode to yourself.
- You’re responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
Your writing stays yours
You own everything you write in Oremi. You give us only the narrow permission needed to run the service for you — to store your entries, show them back to you, and process them for the features you choose to use (like an AI reply or a monthly summary).
We don’t sell your writing, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t use it to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored and what gets sent where.
AI replies
Oremi’s conversation and summaries are generated by an AI model. It can be wrong, and it can misread you. Treat what it says as a prompt for your own reflection — not as fact, and never as advice about your health, safety, money or legal situation. When it looks something up on the web, we can’t vouch for what it finds.
Fair use
Please don’t:
- use Oremi for anything unlawful, or to harm anyone;
- try to access anyone else’s account or data;
- attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service;
- resell or rebrand the service as your own.
Availability
Oremi is provided as is, without warranties. We may change, pause, or discontinue features, and there may be downtime. We do our best to protect your data, but please keep your own copy of anything you can’t bear to lose — you can generate a printable journal any time.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like from You → Delete my account; that erases your data permanently. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Oremi isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or decisions you make based on anything the app (or its AI) says. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Governing law
Oremi is operated from the United Kingdom, and these terms are governed by its laws.
Oremi is used around the world, so to be clear: wherever you live, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your own country, and you can bring a claim in your local courts if the law there gives you that right. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms; we’ll change the date at the top and flag anything significant in the app. Continuing to use Oremi means you accept the updated terms.
